About Margot
Margot is a financial technology executive with a career spanning traditional finance and innovative tech. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, she started her career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan before pivoting into fintech to lead product development for an asset-based lending SaaS platform. Margot built an enterprise business at Pangea international money transfer from the ground up. During this time, she mastered go-to-market strategies, tripled platform coverage, and increased revenue tenfold in the first year, before overseeing its successful acquisition by Enova.
Recently, Margot has held executive roles at the cutting edge of finance and technology—developing tokenization software for a new asset class in blockchain and creating predictive analytics as CEO of a machine learning company. She is an active angel investor and LP with investments across fintech, climate, biotech, AI and ML.
Margot started Genesis to support founders from the beginning of their journey through funding and scaling to profitability. She has a passion for early-stage startups and a deep respect for the strategic work it takes to succeed.
